Cats!! Basquicat by Niaski is an un-greeted notecard inspired by Jean Michel Basquiat's famous artwork and is part of Niaski's Cats in Art range of designs.

The Cats in Art range re-imagines great and classic museum works of art from the perspective of our feline friends and puts cats centre stage in the art world (with a healthy dose of punning thrown in!)

'Basquicat' is a humorous note card and is suitable to send to an art or cat lover on any occasion including birthdays, or just a note to say 'hi'! A great quality greeting card that would be a fine addition to any card drawer and worthy of a frame once sent.

The square card measures 15cm x 15cm and is printed in the UK on FSC approved board with embossing and foil details.

  • Artwork by Nia Gould (Niaski)
  • Blank inside for your own message
  • 15x15cm
  • Envelope included
  • Litho printed in the UK on FSC approved board

A History of Art in 21 Cats

Nia Gould uses her love of all things feline to to tell stories and educate kids in art history. Published in 2019, 'A History of Art in 21 Cats' tells the story of the development of artistic styles over time by putting cats at the centre of each movement.

This has since developed into a range of spin-off products including the greeting card range published by USTUDIO Design.

Inspiration

Nia is inspired by museum art and frequently references these styles from art movements throughout history. Nia also illustrates children's stories, bringing her love of animals and art history with her in her work, which is produced almost exclusively digitally.

Her ideas have led to a burgeoning business and you can purchase more of NIaski's range from prints to washi tape to cat collars in the link below.
